It was after high school Amy Zents started to take her performing career seriously.
"I got into broadcasting in St. James, MN to be around the music, and then I moved to working at KMSU Radio for many years, when I began college to study vocal education K-12. It was my goal to be a singing teacher and a songwriter/performer. I put a band together with my husband, and we call ourselves Molly and Sonny Boy. I would like to sing songs for a living, but for now I teach music, perform locally at gigs, and work part-time at KNUJ radio in New Ulm, MN.
Although there are no big-time Music Publishers here in Southern MN, my husband and I produce our own CD recordings at home and sell them on CD baby, iTunes and Amazon mp3.
I am currently doing demos of my original songs with my husband to find our niche in the music industry. I have sung Jingles for businesses like St. Peter Ford, and Jetter Clean which still air."
